3 Months To Go

It's been over 2 years in the making and we've had one failed attempt but we are now only 3 months away. The last holiday attempt which was for the same time last year included Egypt in the itinerary but this time it has been left out and we will fly straight into London after a 2 hour stop over in Dubai. We are spending 8 nights in London staying in an apartment in Covent Garden. Then, we will hop on the Eurostar and make our way to Paris. Whilst there we will spend 8 nights staying in an apartment in Marais, the 4th arrondissement of Paris. We plan to take the train to Brussels for a day, maybe stay the night, and also spend a day at Paris Disney. After Paris we will catch the train to Munich where we stay 5 nights in an apartment in Schwabing, 10 minutes from the Marienplatz. The Oktoberfest, Dachau conentration camp and the 'Eagles Nest' will be on the agenda during our stay in Munich. From Munich we board the train again and head to Lucerne in Switzerland where we will stay 3 nights in a hotel located in the historical old town of Lucerne on the river Reuss with a view of the Pilatus and Titlis mountains. We hope to spend a bit of our time exploring the mountains by cable car. Zermatt is our next destination where we stay in a hotel, again for 3 nights. Zermatt is home to the Matterhorn, the most famous mountain in Switzerland. This is where we will start our Journey on the Glazier Express train which goes through 91 tunnels and across 291 bridges and finishes up in St Moritz where we stay overnight. The next morning we board the train, again, and head off to Venice in Italy. We are only in Venice for 3 nights but our apartment has a balcony that overlooks a canal that has regular gondola action. From Venice it's off to Florence and 5 nights only metres from the Duomo and the Ponte Vecchio. A trip into the Tuscany country side and a night in Sienna could be an option. Then it's off to our final destination, Rome. We stay in Rome for 7 nights 20 metres from Trevi Fountain. We can't wait, we wish it was now.
